About the job
We are looking for a Local Communication Manager who will be responsible for creating and implementing PR and marketing strategy for Bolt in Tanzania.

This role owns Bolt’s external communication in Tanzania across all owned and earned channels, including creating PR and marketing materials, administrating social media channels, and acting as a contact point for the media and potential partners.

Your daily adventures will include:
  • Creating and maintaining good relationships with journalists, responding to media inquiries
  • Writing press releases and pitching news stories to the media
  • Preparing spokespeople and staffing interviews and press events
  • Overseeing the creation of all necessary marketing materials in Tanzania, including suggesting ideas and writing copy for ads, social media posts, blog articles, and print materials
  • Supporting performance marketing and campaigns, driving growth for our products in Tanzania
  • Reaching out to other brands with attractive partnership offers and executing partnership campaigns with other brands or events
  • Creating proactive plans for PR and marketing in Tanzania with other local stakeholders to ensure a constant positive news flow about Bolt in-country
  • Delivering and measuring the results for PR engagements and local marketing campaigns
  • Other miscellaneous tasks, including supporting employer branding-related activities, ad-hoc driver engagement events, and managing crisis communications when needed

We are looking for:
  • 4 years of relevant experience in Marketing and PR
  • Experience in drafting PR materials and working with journalists
  • Experience in running marketing activities, including social media management and offline marketing campaigns
  • Strong written and spoken communication, including great copywriting skills
  • The capability to collaborate with many different stakeholders, and experience in an international environment is a plus
  • Good understanding of which marketing and PR activities work in the local market
  • Flawless written and spoken English, with other African languages being a plus
  • Good project management and reporting skills
  • Basic experience with Figma and other design tools is a plus

Scope of work:
The ‘Receptionist’ will be responsible for receiving and transfer /direct all the in-coming calls as appropriate. Receive and attend walking-in visitors including organizing appointments and meetings. Receive and communicate to respective staff members the incoming mails and faxes. S/he will also maintain record of all relevant official contacts/mailing list and establish a data base that would facilitate a quick and easy access to addresses, phone numbers and office locations. The position requires a person who is respectful and charming, highly disciplined, flexible and a quick learner, well organized, and always prioritizing interest of the organization. She/he will also support different projects in organizing conference and meetings and coordinates logisticts in those meetings.

Specific Duties:

Answer telephone and direct calls to relevant destinations in the office and outside the office

Take and relay messages to relevant staff and provide information to callersRequired Qualification

At least an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration/ Public relations coupled with Customer Care skills and/or Office management training;

Minimum of three years relevant work experience with proven skills in managing telephone operations /switch board for a large/busy organization.

Experience in working with international agencies and a variety of partners/customers;

Computer literate.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral English and Kiswahili are indispensable;

Interest in working with an Environmental Management Organization.

Should be flexible, articulate and ability to work with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Intercompany balances are reconciled at all times.

• Internal audit – ensure compliance with IA observations and recommendation.

• Assist in external/internal/TRA audit processes to ensure timely completion of audits.

• To ensure compliance with Company’s policies and procedures while handling vendor invoice processing and establish and implement strong internal financial controls

• Any other work that may be assigned by the management

• Ensure Accounts Payable postings happened accurately and in time.
